The Hawk’s Nest Overlook
Located along Route 97 in Sparrow Bush, NY, Hawk’s Nest Overlook offers breathtaking views of the Delaware River and surrounding countryside. Known for its winding scenic drive and vibrant fall foliage, it’s a popular stop for visitors exploring the Hudson Valley.
Upper Delaware Scenic Byway & Recreational River
Bordering New York and Pennsylvania, the Upper Delaware Scenic Area offers beautiful river views and outdoor recreation including kayaking, canoeing, rafting, fishing, hiking, and camping. Visitors may spot wildlife such as eagles, osprey, and deer throughout the area. Several pull-offs and parking areas make it easy to stop and enjoy the natural scenery.
Elks-Brox Memorial Park
Overlooking the town of Port Jervis and the Delaware and Neversink Rivers, you will have beautiful views of rolling hills for miles at the top of the park at Point Peter. It offers picnic areas as well as miles of biking and hiking trails that connect with the Port Jervis Watershed Park and Recreation Area.
Port Jervis Watershed Park and Recreation Area
This park helps to protect the water supply for the community as well as the environment it inhabits. Maintained by volunteers of the Outdoor Club of Port Jervis, it offers 307 acres of easy, moderate, and advanced trails for all types of hikers and mountain bikers. There are 5 different locations for public parking and can be viewed through the Outdoor Club of Port Jervis trail map.
